After hearing the announcement of defeating the King of Beginnings yesterday, I had unconsciously come back to the inn without even realizing it.

Players were probably panicking because the announcement of the death game, to that thought it didn’t happen. According to the story I heard later, half of the players were distressed while the other half was rejoicing.  This was because now they could play AI-ON for as long as they liked without worrying about reality.

「Perfect Escapism…huh?」(Fenrir)

I was thinking about the future of the death game while in the bed of my room.

Considering the situation, the only benefit would be the ability to leave the unpleasant ‘real’ behind and enjoy the game. But now since there is no unpleasant ‘real’, the horrors of the virtual world come out. Person to Person relationships in the MMO are born. These relationships are not the best relationships. Because of this now a ‘real’ named ‘virtual’ is born.

From this description, it is dangerous to have multiple proofs of victories on one person. It would be an extreme story to challenge the last like with 25 proofs of victories, then to die to have all kings be resurrected. Because there is no transfer, sale, and since it can’t be destroyed, the best action seems to defeat the kings with a number of people so the proofs can be spread out.  It would be ideal for 26 individual people to each have one.

But, in reality my stomach ached because I felt responsible of pressing the death game switch…
No,no, It is not my fault. If I wasn’t the one to press the switch by defeating the King of Beginnings, someone else probably would have.  Uun. I’ll try to clear the ground quest as one of the players. I’ll keep that to myself.

For future policy, to spread out the Proof of Victories, I’ll join as a helper to other PT to defeat the kings.

For now, let’s go find the person most likely to be able to use the drops from the King of beginnings for items.

「Oh, The Mahou Shoujo… no, Sword dancer. Have you come to buy another sword? 」(Light)

「Na, Today is a bit different. I came to see you for a different case.」(Fenrir)

I had become a loyal customer to Light-san’s stall by coming to buy swords many times. The Primordial Dragon Sword recipe required three production skills, <Blacksmith><Alchemy><Jewelry>. I wanted to ask Light-san if he was able to remember a person from the Beta who would be able to use this sword recipe.

「Light-San you have increased <blacksmith> as a main, but do you also have <Alchemy> and <Jewelry> raised?」(Fenrir)

「Uun? I have <Alchemy> raised buy not <jewelry> because it’s not very useful. Why do you ask? You could always ask a production agency.」(Light)

Generally in AI-ON, producers ask for the recipe to make a product for the customer. An exemption for this is when the player intends to produce their own items with a recipe.  But even if it s a game, both production and battles take large amounts of time and resources.

「Uun, I have received a nice recipe. If it’s ok, I was wondering if you could try to ask for someone that could… sorry.」(Fenrir)

「If you were to try that, Why don’t you go to Morning Mist to see?」(Light)

「Eh? Isn’t Asagiri-san a leather craftsman?」(Fenrir)

Asagiri-san is the Onee-san who I bought armor from on the first day. That stall that sells leather equipment is located in the main area.

「Aah. She only puts the easy to sell leather equipment in stalls. She has anything of <Blacksmithing><Woodworking><Sewing><Alchemy><Metal Engraving><Jewelery>. If you ask her for the information, she has the most.」(light)

「What’s with those super producers. Does she also deal in <healers>,<Food> and <Goods>?」(Fenrir)

「Uum. If it’s her, maybe.」(Light)

Light-san gave some outrageous information. Asagiri-san must have some crazy super powers!? How much time and effort must it have been to master only production skills…

「Well, If it’s a person she likes she would help but, If it’s for you as the Blade Dancer, it’s probably all right. 」(Fenrir)

I say thanks to Light-san and walk towards Asagiri-san’s stall.

 

「Hello Asagiri-san~」(Fenrir)

「It’s been a while Ojou-chan. How is the armor?」(Asagiri-san)

「It has been very useful.」

「That’s good. So what’s today for? Although it seems unlikely for an armor repair.」(Asagiri)

「Uum, I heard from Light-san that I could get something made if I asked you. I wanted to ask to use the recipe and material I have.」(Fenrir)

「What is the recipes production level requirement?」

「Required levels are <Blacksmith> level 25, <Alchemy> level 20, and <jewelry> level 10.」(Fenrir)

「The level is high for a beginning recipe. Although I can use it without any problems.」(Asagiri)

「How impressive. Although I have a few conditions…」(Fenrir)

「Conditions?」(Asagiri)

Asagiri-san’s eyes grew sharp at my words.

「First is that you don’t tell anyone about the recipe, and that you don’t ask anything about the recipe, if possible.」(Fenrir)

「Those  are…Some pretty unusual conditions.」(Asagiri)

I talk in a low voice so only Asagiri-san can hear.

「Uuuum.. Actually, it’s because this is a unique recipe.」(Fenrir)

A unique recipe is on that only has one in existence. The material needed is also a one-time drop from a boss. This makes the recipe only usable once with the material from a King. Because it is a unique recipe with the condition of ‘Clear the Angel Quest’,  It shows that I am the one that cleared the conditions.

「!! Let s hear the story inside the workshop because of our location.」(Asagiri)

「Eh? Don’t you have to run the stall? Wait,You already have a workshop!?」(Fenrir)

「Since the start of the Death Game, most players have been confused and haven’t come around to buy things. I got the workshop at the start of the third day, I bought it yesterday!」(Asagiri)

And with that, I can’t decide what face to show to Asagiri-san. To have a workshop at the start of the third day, What a super producer.

「Haa~For Fenrir-chan to be the one to Clear the Angel Quest. Indeed it’s the Sword Dancer of the rumors.」(Asagiri)

I ended up telling the story to Asagiri-san, of the accidental encounter King of Beginnings on our way to the workshop on the East street.

「Sorry…」(Fenrir)

「Eh? Why are you apologizing?」(Asagiri)

Asagiri-san is surprised at my sudden apology.

「Because I started the death game by defeating the King of Beginning…」(Fenrir)

「That doesn’t mean you’re bad. If you hadn’t defeated the King of Beginnings someone else would have.」(Asagiri)

With that the weight on my mind gets a bit lighter.

「Well, lets start to produce armor from the King of Beginning.」(Asagiri)

I pass the recipe, Platinum Ingots, Primordial dragon Horn, fang and ring to Asagiri-san.

Usually in a game, you can train by tapping and heating an ingot, while fusing fangs with alchemy. The rings could also be processed with cutting. Because Asagiri-sans <Blacksmith> was of high level she was able to use the recipe. To make an item the recipe is shown in a window by the anvil. The materials to be used are selected in a column and everything is completed with one button.

「Phew~ Its Complete~ This is really an amazing weapon.」(Asagiri)

Asagiri-san started a trade to pass me the items. I pass back the costs required for the production.

「Are? There is extra money?」(Asagiri)

「It is hush money.」(Fenrir)

「I will keep quiet.」(Asagiri)

Asagiri-san received the money with a laugh.

After we traded items, I checked the Primordial Dragon’s sword specs.

UuuH, Whats with these numbers. It’s too high for so early in the game.

「Right. But it’s good because I’m a sorcerer. The magic bonus is good because it ups my magic power.」(Fenrir)

Weapons with magic attack are called magic swords or magic spears. It gives players the ability to use magic without switching weapons.

「well, now that you have the sword, let’s celebrate with this.」(Asagiri)

It would be unbalanced to have only one weapon this strong when I dual wield. Since, the other sword I have now has the attack power similar to the initial equipment. …When I think about it now this was the sword that beat the King of Beginnings.

「Fenrir-chan, wait a minute.」(Asagiri)

Asagiri-san who seemed to be reading into my thoughts retrieved an item from an opened menu.

「If it’s ok, take this.」(Asagiri)

Although the performance displayed on the trade screen were not to the extent of the Primordial Dragon Sword, It was a weapon of High performance for the moment.

「That’s too much.」(Fenrir)

It’s ridiculous to say the least. That’s a great pressure.

「Ufufu~, Those shouldn’t be the words of someone who just beat the King with a normal sword.」(Asagiri)

「haa~ It will at least let me thank you for it. Also, because my combat method is special, Can I come to you to use the <Blacksmith> skill polish?」(Fenrir)

「Aah, The intense wear of endurance under the magic sword. The skill can be learned anywhere in a workshop with an <blacksmith> NPC.」(Asagiri)

「Is that so? Thanks.」(Fenrir)

After this, Asagiri-san and I registered as friends, and then I left the workshop.

The <Blacksmith> was easy to learn. I was able to clear it by doing a production quest from the NPC in the blacksmith workshop. The requirements was to purify an iron ingot from Iron ore. Iron ore was easily  available from rocks scattered in the planes outside the east gate. Once the purified iron is made into ingots and taken back to the workshop, the quest is complete.

「Sarina-san. I have finished.」(Fenrir)

I show the iron ingot to the master of the blacksmith workshop. Usually the master NPC of a workshop is associated with stubborn old men, but I was surprised  because here it was a woman. This is probably due to other games.

「Yes. Good Job. Now you are a blacksmith. Because you are still a beginner, please continue practicing by making more and more items.」(Sarina)

My blacksmith skills are not going to increase though, because all I want to use is the polishing skill. I replaced the <Metal Engraving> skill with the <Blacksmith> skill. Saying thanks to Sarina-san, I left the workshop.

After buying several sharpening stones required for polishing, I returned to the inn as soon as possible.

We have found a huge tower in the south rock planes.
Apparently from rumors we heard within the village, there is a king located there.

The eldest and third daughter have formed a party of three real sisters.
They should have teamed up with just the three of them alone.
