Water Dragon King and Arte Village
August 5th. 5th day.
Because the Stone monument of the 26 Kings has sunk to the bottom of Crystal lake, I decided to level up my <Swimming> skill.
As soon as one takes the highway from the West Gate of the Imperial City there is a fork. By heading to the right, leads the road between the Forest of Crystal lake and Sannou, eventually reaching the Neighboring country of Premium Kingdom. When heading to the east, the road bypasses Sannou Forest and continues later to the West City road in the west. For me to go to Crystal lake I headed to the right.
Crystal lake Is a big lake. It would be bigger than the largest lake in Japan Lake Biwa. Or at least the same size as lake Shikoku.
I immediately went into Crystal Lake to try my <Swimming> Skill. There was no effect of wearing normal clothes when I was swimming because it is a game. That’s what I thought, But as soon as I entered into the water the Mahou Shoujo clothes changed.

It was a dark-blue One-piece type swimsuit, with a patch that had ‘Fenrir’ written on the chest. Yes, it’s the school swimsuit.

I decided to raise the level of swimming skills by swimming to the center of the lake temple.
There was countless fish swimming underwater. When I tried to look at the fish, it seems they have HP bars. When I look, this is a place filled with non-active monsters that don’t come to attack. I think it would be interesting for players to try to catch a fish with their hands and then cook them. When using the dual wielding skill Cross, the fish would disappear in a single blow. Well, it’s dual wielding the Primordial Dragon Sword and the Flying Dragon Sword. Small fry is no match. At this rate catching a fish is impossible. Ayu, Carp, Mullet, Sea Bass, and Horse Mackerel fish swim towards me. They were fairly large coming from the other side of the water.
At that moment, A BGM that frequently occurs in movies started. The monster that appeared was Jaws.

Using a triple attack that I learned from my level 30 dial wielding skills to hit Jaws, which had been charging me, Jaws attacked then retreated. After that I somehow return to the surface in a hurry to get a breath.

Right now I can’t use my main magic, and I am alone. It would be too reckless to challenge the ‘Water Dragon King’ Like the ‘King of Beginnings’ because of that and it was not a death game back then.

I swim torwards the nearby shore, because now I’d rather not stay in the lake. Since there is a village nearby the highway, between the woods of Crystal Lake and Sannou, I decide to take a rest there while thinking of ways to defeat the ‘Water Dragon King.’

I walked along the highway to arrive at the village. Once I arrived I headed towards the only inn in the village.

「Oh, Welcome. It’s been a long time since an adventurer came to this rural village. 」
「 Is that so? Don’t people gather here because of the road that leads to the Premium Kingdom?」(Fenrir)
「There are some travelers, but not as many adventurers. There is nothing but the Toka ruins nearby. And even then… no never mind.」
I see, so adventurers are players who don’t pass through here. Or it might be because they haven’t extended the areas up here.

After I hand over 100 Gordes for the payment I receive a room key and head up to the second floor. I realized that I don’t know any information about the ‘Water Dragon King’ and this village is close to the lake, so I go down to see the shopkeeper.
「 Did you know there is the monument of the 26 Kings in the center of the Crystal Lake? Nearby it was the ‘Water Dragon King’.」
After I mention the monument the inn shopkeepers grasp me by surprise.
「 You said there was the ‘Water Dragon King’!? And!? What else!? Wy did you do something annoying like that!?」
The shopkeepers spirit seems to falter.

According to the shopkeeper’s story, the angered water dragon sank the monument to the bottom of the lake. Luckily Arte village was just far enough to avoid damage. I heard damage from the ocean can be quite bad, but is damage from a lake also as bad? Or I wonder how much anger the ‘Water Dragon King’ must have is also amazing. For Arte village to keep peace, they have been sacrificing one girl every year in order to quell the ‘Water Dragon King’s rage.

“Save Arte Village” was displayed when I looked at my quest menu. So now was how I was supposed to receive the quest.
Evidently, the Sacrifice ceremony is August 31st. It seems the King gets stronger every day due to its anger, and on the 31st, its strength is at its peak. And the power of the ‘Water Dragon King’ will subside to its weakest after it eats a sacrifice.
If I challenge before August 31st it would be possible to beat but difficult. If I challenge it after the 31st it would be at its weakest.
The former aside, the latter is not okay. Even to abandon an NPC leaved a bitter aftertaste.
After I immediately experiment to try to use magic underwater. Some results were found, there are three ways to use magic underwater.
1.The first way, Is to use Aqua Breath from the water attribute skills. This magic allows you to talk and breath underwater. But, it must be cast on the surface because the spell cannot be cast underwater.
2.The second way is the water attribute magic, Aqua Lung. The effects are similar to aqua breath, but you can also apply it to others. But of course just like Aqua Breath you cannot apply the magic underwater.
3.The third way is the combat skill from the Kemonoka skills, Fish Breath. This skill
allows you to breathe and talk by giving the player fish gills. The biggest difference between them is that it can be cast underwater. This is because it is not necessary to say words, but to think it as it is an attack skill. But because it gives you gills on the neck, it is quite unpopular.

I put the temporary PT recruitment request in the Bulletin board and head off early to sleep. Finding players with both swimming and underwater breathing will be limited, but let’s hope that at least seven of the upper level players will gather.
